Trip to Boston February 2020 with stops in Orange County, NY and Fairfield Connecticut

I am planning a trip to Boston this month.  I always go for birthdays of my daughter and her son at the end of February and first part of March.  I always include genealogy research on the way to Boston and the way back.  This year I am driving to Orange County, NY to do research on my Carey and Cooley family line.  Benjamin Franklin Carey was born 11 Nov 1795 in Walkill, Orange County, NY.  His parents were Absolom Carey and his wife, Temperance Cooley.  Ben Carey is my 3-gr-grandfather.

Ben Carey moved to what is now Logan, WV before 1820.   It is said that Ben Carey was first married to Mariah Ketchum and that he might have moved to  this area with his wife's family.  And it is thought that Mariah Ketchum Carey died on the trip to Logan or soon after arriving as Ben married a second wife, Hannah McNeely in Cabell County Virginia c.1820.

My goals in Orange County, NY are to look at the land on which the Cooley and Carey family lived,  And to get an idea of Mariah Ketchum's family.  I know almost nothing about these family lines so I hope to spend time in the Orange County Genealogy Society at least one of the mornings that I am there.

I then plan to drive to Harrisburg, Pa to take the train to Boston.  I am hoping to take advantage of an event that NEGHS is offering February 20-22.  And then spend the weekend with my family.

Next I plan to take the train to Connecticut to stay with my brother and his wife.  While there we will be looking at our Cooley family who lived in Fairfield, Connecticut as early as 1695.  My ancestor, Peter Coley/Cooley is said to have been mentioned in church records in June of 1695:

He renewed his covenant at Fairfield Church 2 Jun 1695 and three childen by Esther were baptised that day.  His wife, Mary, was baptised 28 Nov 1703

And the father of Peter, Samuel Coley, is said to have been admitted to the church in Milford Connecticut in 1640.  I will be looking for these church records as well as a will that is said to exist for both Samuel Coley and also his wife, Ann Prudden Coley.
